 1:00 - 1:50 p.m. Topic: “In today's WiFi world, you may be banking from your laptop, tablet, or smartphone”

This session discusses the latest developments in online and mobile banking, and how providers are adapting to technology changes, and what it all means to you. We show how organizations are using mobile banking to work more efficiently and how mobile can be a BCP tool. What new security risks exist? What can you do to protect your company's information in cyberspace? We answer these questions and cover a range of topics to help you get the most from your online and mobile banking services.

Learning objectives: • Learn the latest developments in online and mobile banking technology. • Understand how companies are using mobile banking technology to increase efficiency. • Learn the risks from utilizing mobile banking technology and how to protect your company’s information.

Speaker: .Gwen Evans, Vice President Technical Product Consultant Gwen Evans is a Product Consultant in the Treasury Services division of Wells Fargo Bank. In her current role, Gwen provides consultative support of Wells Fargo’s information reporting and disbursement products and services. This includes identifying company needs and priorities and developing cash management systems to achieve the stated objectives. She has been with the bank for 23 years and has worked in various treasury management related fields for the past 17 years. Gwen is a graduate of Mississippi State University and is Certified Treasury Professional. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

2:00 - 2:50 p.m. Topic: “During 2014 at Pepco Holdings (PHI), Mike Seibert and Joe Navarra lead a project to implement a Company wide enterprise risk management system”

During 2014 at Pepco Holdings (PHI), Mike Seibert and Joe Navarra lead a project to implement a Company wide enterprise risk management system, which has received praise from industry experts as having best practices in risk management. During Mike and Joe's presentation, they will provide an overview of PHI's approach to risk management, which will include PHI's method of identifying and measuring its risks, how these risks are managed to mitigate them, and how PHI has integrated its risk management program into the Company using an Enterprise Risk Management System. Mike and Joe will also briefly review Lessons Learned in implementing a risk management program.

Speakers: Michael E. Seibert, MBA, CPA & Joseph L. Navarra, MS, ARM Michael E. Seibert, MBA, CPA Mike is a Risk / Finance Manager in the Risk Management and Treasurer's Departments at Pepco Holdings, Inc. in Washington, D.C., and is responsible for risk management, internal controls, lease administration, and various special project work. Mike received a MBA in Finance from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland and a BA in Sociology from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), past President and Board of Director for the Greater Washington DC Association for Financial Professionals (GWAFP), and a former faculty member of the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School – Treasury Management Series – years 2008 to 2012.

Joseph L. Navarra, MS, ARM Joe is a Risk / Finance Manager in the Risk Management and Corporate Insurance Departments at PEPCO Holdings, Inc. in Washington, D.C. and is responsible for risk management, property loss control, and corporate insurance. Joe received a MS in Business Management from National Louis University and a BS in Fire Protection Engineering from University of Maryland. Joe has an Associate in Risk Management certification from the Insurance Institute of America and was a former faculty member of the University of Maryland, University College.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled.  Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request funds be applied to the next upcoming meeting provided 48 hours of notification are given.

Complaints should be directed to the Education Committee at education@gwafp.org; if resolution cannot be achieved at this level, the complaint will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.
