Join your peers for Round Table discussions on unclaimed property and reporting, managing banking relationships, cash forecasting, and preparing for the CTP exam. Round table sessions will run concurrently for 50 minutes each which will allow everyone to participate in up to two sessions.

Learning Objectives: • Learn what other Treasury professionals are doing and share your best practices. • Discover practical ideas that enhance your treasury operations and personal development.

Speakers:

Claudia Volk, CTP CJVolk Associates, Inc. Treasury Management Consulting

Claudia Volk is founding principal of CJVolk Associates, Inc., a treasury and cash management consulting firm established in 2000. She has over 25 years’ experience in finance and treasury. She served as Deputy Treasurer for Investments, Cash Management and Accounting in Arlington County from 1994-1999. Prior to her employment in Arlington County, she was Assistant Treasurer for Fairchild Space & Defense Corporation and worked as a public accountant for KPMG. She holds an MS degree in accounting from Georgetown University and a BS in special education from Appalachian State University. She is a CTP, AAP and a CPA. She is past president of the Greater Washington Association for Financial Professionals. She is adjunct faculty at the School of Business at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.

Donna Ryan, CTP Vice President - Treasury Management Officer PNC Bank

Donna is a Vice President and Senior Treasury Services Sales Officer at PNC Bank, and works with large corporate, government, not-for-profit and government contractor clients in District of Columbia Metropolitan area. She has been in banking for over 20 years. Donna has held the board officer position of Secretary/Treasurer of Quest: Arts for Everyone and is currently the Treasurer of the non-profit organization, Center for American Military MusicOpportunities (CAMMO). Prior to her banking experience, she was a Cash Manager for a billion dollar manufacturing company with seven divisions. Donna received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Louisiana State University (Major: Art/English and Major: Education). Donna is a CTP and has served as Secretary, Vice President, two terms as President and currently is Past President of the Greater Washington Association For Financial Professionals.

Michael J Martino, CCM

Mike is a Treasury Consultant residing in Frederick, Maryland. He was formerly Manager – Cash and Banking at CSX Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to that, he was Director – Cash Administration and Director – Equipment Administration at CSX Transportation. He is a former Vice President of the Treasury Management Association of Northeast Florida, a presenter at New York Cash Exchange, Treasury Management Conference of the South and the AFP National Conference and the author of 4 articles for Treasury and Risk Magazine. Mike holds a BA in Economics from Fordham University and an MS in Transportation from Northwestern University.

Nancy Edwards, CTP Treasurer, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority

Nancy Edwards is the Treasurer for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). MWAA operates Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport and the recently acquired Dulles Toll Road. Nancy has responsibility for all cash management functions for MWAA’s operating and bond funds including the management of $2 billion in fixed income securities. The Department of Treasury is also responsible Grant Administration and the analysis and reporting of expenditures for the Aviation Capital Development Program and the Metro Rail extension through Tysons to Washington Dulles International Airport. Before joining MWAA, she was the Cash Manager of Atlantic Gulf Communities, a major land developer in Florida. Nancy became a Certified Cash Manager (CCM) in 1989, achieved permanent CCM status in 1994, and converted to the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) in 2003. Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Finance from Florida International University in 1986 and an MBA from George Washington University in 1998. Nancy is a past President of GWAFP.

Greater Washington Association of Financial Professionals is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled.  Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request funds be applied to the next upcoming meeting provided 48 hours of notification are given.

Complaints should be directed to the Education Committee at education@gwafp.org; if resolution cannot be achieved at this level, the complaint will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.
